Located in the foothills of the Sierra mountains, approximately 30 miles west of Kirkwood Ski Resort, you will find Carson Pass Pines.  It is a small community at the upper area of Volcano, made up of full-time residences as well as vacation residences.  It is supported by Amador County Sheriff's Department and the Lockwood Fire Protection District.
